I saw Ina Garten make this on the Food Network the other day. I changed it up, made it my own, and BAM we have the perfect blend of French and Bukharian cooking. The traditional Bouillabaisse has the potatoes stewed in to the dish. My Bouillabaisse is with french fries, as we may have with a traditional Bukharian dish named “Kov Roghan” which is basically very similar to this dish anyway. Definitely use a wine you enjoy drinking. I recommend a Pinot Grigio (#RHONY style) or Chardonnay.

Made these for a friends holiday party. There were some technical difficulties – ie, my pastry bag tips were too small to let the almond pieces out, so I had to spoon the cookie batter out instead of piping it. Otherwise though, it went really well. And they were a hit. Yields about 18-20 sandwiches

French onion soup is one of my favorite menu items to order. It’s creamy and rich and smooth. I love it. It usually comes with a crouton and some cheese on top. Instead of putting the cheese and bread on top, I decided to make a sandwich on the side… because, lets face it, who doesn’t enjoy a soup and a sandwich?! But after all these onions you may wanna use some mouthwash before you kiss anyone.

I got the original idea for this recipe from watching the Barefoot Contessa, Ina Garten. Her tart looked delicious, but mine is wayyy better. The simple addition of blueberries and some minor changes to the glaze make my version the Abrams Apple Tart… and it is mighty fine.
