Sorry for my ridiculously long absence. It ain’t easy being a dental resident. We have exams, we have surgeries, we have girls chasing us…. C’est la vie, friends. C’est la vie. Anyways go make this delicious roasted tomato soup. Serve it as a soup, or as shooters in little shot glasses as an appetizer. You can garnish with some chopped spinach or basil and a dash of heavy cream, or with just some thinly sliced radishes for the crunchy spicy kick. Satisfaction guaranteed or your money back. Wait, no. I keep the cash. Sorry.

Ok. I know you’re thinking one of two things. One: this kid is obsessed with hummus. Two: this kid owns a lifetime supply of chick peas. If you thought #2, you’re wrong. I’m just obsessed with hummus. Its high in protein, and its ridiculously easy to make. I had unexpected guests and being a good host, my table, like a canvas to be painted, is not allowed to have empty space. This spicy version of my hummus is a palatable spin, balanced by the sweet shredded apple garnish. Yes, I know. I’m just THAT smart. I can be your hero, baby.
When I decided to move to Philadelphia I gave up access to Sushi Metsuyan and all their delicious (yet way overpriced) treats. So now I have to attempt at having Abrams Metsuyan instead. And these fries totally make me feel like I’m sitting on Main St with my friends and seeing the entire Jewish population every time I go there.
I have this one friend I always make fun of from dental school. He’s a gym-aholic, and sustains himself on protein and NO-Xplode. He has certain days where he gets lazy, and stays in bed eating peanut butter out of the jar with his fingers while watching TV. True story. Why peanut butter? Apparently its very high in protein. So after laughing at him for te last 3 years, I decide to check out other options for peanut butter, so that maybe he can eat something peanutty and proteinaceous with utensils other than his 5 fingers. And so I developed this recipe. My friend who will remain anonymous for several reasons, I hope you read this and make this.
I also served these with my Spicy Asian Meat Balls, and the combination was sinfully scrumptious.
